Spend your day exploring the vibrant city streets and markets and absorb the unique Tanzanian cultures, or spend some time relaxing before you safari adventure begins.

It is time to leave the city behind and catch your flight to Selous Game Reserve for a secluded safari escape. You will be transferred to your chosen accommodation in the Selous Game Reserve. This diverse UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a variety of habitats from woodlands and savannah plains to riverine forests and swamps with the Rufiji River providing a stuning focal point. Look forward to great wildlife and birdlife viewing including large herds of elephant, black rhino, giraffe and hippo, as well as exciting predators such as lion, African wild dog, cheetah, leopard and spotted hyena. A variety of land and water-based safari options are available such as game drives and river safaris. Sit back and enjoy the bliss of a Selous getaway.
After breakfast, it is time to leave Selous Game Reserve and travel to the remote beauty of the Ruaha National Park. You will be transferred to your chosen accommodation in Ruaha, one of Africa’s largest national parks, which lies in the wild heart of Tanzania.
Nothing epitomises “wild Africa” quite like Ruaha with its river rapids, rugged terrain, striking baobab silhouetted landscape and variety of wildlife. During your stay here, enjoy exciting safari activities including game drives with knowledgable and experienced guides who will show you the wealth of biodiversity and wildlife in this remote and untamed wilderness.
On day 6, enjoy a hearty breakfast before your transfer to your chosen accommodation in Mahale National Park. Located on the beautiful shores of the vast Lake Tanganyika. Mahale is not a traditional wildlife safari destination and offers exciting chimp trekking and primate sighting opportunities. Look forward to off the beaten track adventure and relaxation. From chimpanzee trekking excursions through the rainforests of the Mahale Mountains to relaxing on the beaches along the edge of the lake while the blue waters lap against the shore. You can even make your way onto the water to enjoy fishing, birding or game viewing boat trips. The natural beauty of the Mahale National Park is unforgettable.
On the final morning of your trip, enjoy your last few hours surrounded by Mahale National Park’s scenic wilderness. Enjoy breakfast before being transferred back to Dar es Salaam where you will continue with your onward journey.
